Revlon Colour Stay Event

On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of attending one of my first big media event hosted by Revlon Canada. The event was to celebrate 20 years of Revlon's ColourStay and check out all their newly launched products in this established cosmetic line. I brought my fellow blogging friend Jeannie, aka Left in Pink, to attend this event with me.

We headed up to the Panaroma Lounge on the 51st Floor of the ManuLife building that had the most amazing view of Toronto. We were greeted by lovely reps at Revlon and we were handed a shopping card that detailed all the products in each station. We were to check off what colours we liked so that the products can be placed in our goody bag at the end of the night. While we were playing with different Revlon products, we were offered drinks (cleverly named after their MoistureStain line) and delicious hor d'oeuvres.

The first area we went to was the nail polish station to check Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy nail polish line. They launched 30 new vibrant colors that just perfect for this year. My immediate love for this polish was the application. It went on opaque at first coat (two coat to achieve flawlessness of course). The innovation behind this product is that you do not need a base coat which allows for more lasting wear.

Next we checked out their new lip product which included their Moisture Stains that comes in 12 beautiful shades. I'm generally pretty picky with my lip glosses, but I can say that I really like this product. It moisturized without feeling sticky and since it is also a stain the color stay on your lips longer!

After testing and playing around with the products for the first half of the event, we were given a presentation from the brand ambassadors at Revlon. They talked us through the brief history of the 20 year old ColorStay line and finally ended with the pre-release commercial of their new Revlon Bold Lacquer Length & Volume mascara starring my woman crush, Emma Stone. It was very interesting to learn how far a product line has come and how much it changes to keep up with the latest trends.
Once the presentation ended, my friend and I went to the lash bar to test out Revlon's Bold Lacquer mascara. We received tips and tricks from their Eye Make-Up PRO on how to coat the lashes to achieve maximum length and boldness, as well as how to apply their new liquid eyeliner (which has the industry's thinnest applicator brush for added precision!).

As the event was nearing to an end, we tested out products that we didn't try in the first half, which included their eyeshadows (that link together to build your own palette), as well as their face products. After checking off all the products that we loved, we handed our shopping card to one of the representative that filled our goody bag! My friend and I were among the last to leave so they ran out of some colors we marked off, which they said they will mail out. This was such a generous offer and it truly made my night.

I just want to give out a special thanks to Kelsey, Revlon's PR rep and her team for inviting me to this amazing event. I had so much fun testing all the products out and mingling with fellow bloggers and vloggers from across Toronto!
