Born Pretty Store Review: 12-Color Rhinestone + Marchesa Inspired Nail Art

I haven't done a fashion inspired nail art in the longest time, so here is my Marchesa from their Autumn/Winter 2012-2013 collection. I was just reading blogs and I stumbled across Marchesa and Revlon nail wrap collaboration. Just like the collection that inspired it, the design of the nail art wraps is absolutely stunning! I haven't come across this product, but I would definitely consider purchasing them. In the meantime, here's my nail art inspired by the same collection.

Stunning Nail Wrap/Revlon Interpretation of the same dress!

For this nail art, I used black rhinestones from "12 colors Rhinestones Acrylic UV Nail Art Kit w/ box & Pen" from Born Pretty Store. I'm not sure how the pen works, so I use my normal technique of placing a dallop of clear coat (doesn't matter if it's base or top coat), place the decal, and seal it in by painting the entire nail with the clear coat. This product is sold on Born Pretty Store for $7.59, which is an amazing deal considering you get two boxes of rhinestones. This can literally last you for ages! Also, if you want to save an additional 10% from your purchase, you can use my code: NVL91

You get 12 colours from this box: light blue, clear, red, bright blue, black, blue, indigo, dark yellow, light yellow, navy blue, purple, and pink rhine stone. The second box is strictly clear and black rhinestone, most likely because they are the most versatile and they can work with any colour of nail polishes. The staying power of the rhinestone really depends on the amount of top coat you use to seal it in. I like to put at least three and for any decals, it usually last about 2 or 3 days. These rhinestone are definitely fun to play around with and I highly recommend them if you want to buy some affordable nail art decorations. Some nail art store, you pay about the same price and probably get a quarter of the amount! I love Born Pretty Store just because you can actually get a lot of stuff for $20. There are a lot of things on the web store for under $5!

Materials
  • Julep "Marion"
  • Julep "Amy"
  • Julep "Daphne"
  • Julep "Dianna"
  • Julep "Bess"
  • Julep "Leila"
  • Black Muji 0.38 Pen
  • Nail Art Brush

As my usual trick goes, I paint a bunch of globs and add in the finishing details with my handy dandy black gel pen. It's hard to create small outlines with black polish because you always have to worry about blobs and that would ruin your nail art completely! So my black gel pen is my secret weapon! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this quick review for the 12-color rhinestone and my Marchesa inspired nail art!
