Born Pretty Store Review: Vintage Pearl Nail Art

So I'm playing catch up with some of my reviews. This set of varying sized pearls was provided to me by Born Pretty Store back in June. I got this at the same time as the multi-colour pearls, which I provided a more punctual review in mid-June. Anyways, up until end of October has been very hectic for me, but I'm glad I have a little more free time to do some nail art.

If you have never heard of Born Pretty Store, they are an amazing e-commerce store with an abundance of nail art products, as well as jewellery, make-up, and so on! You can literally spend hours on the site because they have so much variety. This site sell their products at whole sale prices so you can definitely get a lot of bang for your buck. Also, they offer free worldwide shipping without a minimum purchase order! The products ships from Hong Kong and I received it within two weeks time but it may vary from location to location.

Along with the multi-color pearl, I received this product known as "3 Sizes Nail Art Baby Pearl Rhinestone Decoration + Wheel". You can buy this product for $4.14 if you buy one. But if you or your friends decided to get 3 or more, you get a small discount! Also, if you use my code NVL91, you can save an additional 10%!

This pearl nail wheel comes in 3 different sizes. I definitely enjoyed using this product and I think it can add an elegant touch to any nail art. You can't go wrong with classic pearls! Since they are rather large decals, you need a lot of top coat to really glue it down or it will fall off rather easily. But that is a given for any large decals unless you use nail art glue. For my nail art experimentation, I decided to go vintage and classic looking. I googled "Vintage Pearls" and came across the image below. It is such a gorgeous piece of jewellery!

  • Half Pearl Nail Decals
    • Small and Medium
  • Silver Round Glitter
  • Silver Glitter Polish
    • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in "Celeb City"
  • Dark Grey Polish
    • Julep "Brit"
  • White Polish
    • OPI "Alpine Snow"
  • Nail Art Brush

  1. Paint your the base white and allow it to dry
  2. Then with a silver glitter polish, create the base of the pendant. To replicate my design, create a flower and leaves. Then add in swirl details.
  3. With a fine nail art brush and a darker grey polish, outline the petals, leaves, and swirls.
  4. Place a silver round glitter or a white rhine stone in the center of the flower pendant to replicate the diamond. Then using the smallest size pearls, place two at the end of the swirls. Make it stay intact with top coat.
  5. Using 3 or more medium sized pearls, create the necklace portion of the design. Again, use top coat to glue down the pearls and allow it to dry completely.
  6. Repeat the above steps on the rest of your nails and touch up any details. Feel free to create larger and more intricate pendants.

I hope you like this design. Again, if you decide to check out Born Pretty Store and find something you like, use the code: NVL91 to save an extra 10%!
