Wow, I can't believe we're onto the second month of 2013! February is the month of love and I guess it's time for some lovey dovey nail art. This first nail art of the Valentine's series is yummy, colorful candy hearts. I did a variation of this last year and it turned out pretty well. So I decided to do a more refined version of it along with a tutorial. It's with a combination of stamping (to save time) and free-hand. I did two versions of it just to inspire a few options. You can definitely add to it!
Check out the tutorial after the jump!
Materials
- Black Polish
- Julep "Brandt"
- White Polish
- Sally Hansen "White On"
- Pink Polish
- Julep "Reese"
- Blue Polish
- Julep "Jessica"
- Purple Polish
- Julep "Renee"
- Green Polish
- Julep "Courteney"
- Yellow Polish
- Julep "Alma"
- Silver Polish
- Julep "Harley"
- Konad Stamping Set
- Konad M73 Stamping Plate
- Konad Special Black Polish
- Dotter
- Nail Art Brush
Instructions:
- Paint your nails with white polish and allow it to try. Using your Konad kit and M73 plate, transfer the heart image to your finger tips.
- Next using either a dotter or nail art brush, fill in the hearts and background in different colors.
- Since the black stamped image is rather faint, use a black polish to outline the hearts.
- Next use a silver polish and outline the bottom of the tip to create more definition.
Option: Skip the white polish and use clear polish instead.
