August Julep Maven Styles

First and foremost, Happy 1 year Anniversary to Julep! I want to thank Julep so much for feeding into my obsession of nail polishes and just adding a little fun to every month. I thoroughly enjoy receiving their nail polishes every single month and it's one thing I always look forward to! They are hosting a digital party, I assume it going to be via Twitter. But more information can be found in their Facebook Event. Again, it's always the small touches that wins me over with this company. I love how they're celebrating digitally to get everyone involved.

Looks like this month, the theme is all about chrome and metallics. I think it's perfect for August since it's the month of the Olympics! I think I could do some cool Olympic medal nail art using these featured colors. The featured product this month is their Acetone-Free Nail Polish Remover which retails for $14.00. It looks really small, but it's 118 ml or 4 fl. oz. I love that it's a pump! In addition, Julep is also throwing in a super cute tote bag!

So there are some things I noticed about this month. Instead of two add-ons, you get 3 for the usual price of $4.99 each! Last month, we were told that Kate in our box was a litte different from Kate featured in the past box. So I wonder if Sienna in the It Girl box is a little different because I have that already and I don't want dupes.

If you're new to the whole Julep Maven program, it's essentially a nail polish/Julep branded product subscription service. The regular fee is $19.99, but you can try it out for $0.01. Simply complete the style quiz and type in the promo code PENNY to reduce your price to a penny!

Since my readers have been so kind to my mom and I by purchasing through out referral links, I think we can say that we're set for nail polishes. So I just want share my cousin's referral link. Please help this hard working Med School student earn some free polishes by purchasing through this link: http://www.julep.com/?r=20017515

As always, more details about the program can be found on their website or check out my Beauty Boxes tab above.

Here are the sneak peek for the August Julep Maven styles and their swatches!

Dakota, Stefani, Julep Nail Polish Remover (value $42)

Isla, Piper, Julep Nail Polish Remover (value $42)

Julep Nail Polish Remover (value $42)

Alfre, Felicity, Julep Nail Polish Remover (value $42)

Sienna, Melanie, Harley (value $42)

I'm having a tough time choosing. But I'm really attracted to the purple and mint metallic polishes and the grey metal colors. So hard to decide! I never do add-ons just because I'm fortunate to share all my Julep polishes with my mom, so I essentially get two boxes a month. Anyways, which Julep Maven style are you choosing? Are you taking advantage of the 3 add ons? Let me know what you ladies think of the colors this month!

  2. I'm a fan of mint and grey metal colors too! Dakota looks nice as well. Hmm.. After reading tons of reviews, I don't own any Juleps b/c their formula seems streaky and requires 3-4 coats to get full coverage. But I must say, these colors do look interesting!

    1. I think it depends on the polish. Creme base I can get away with one coat, and with two coats it obviously look better. I find their shimmery polish are a little streaky. I haven't had any huge problems with their polishes.

  3. I just got this email today too and I am also have a hard time deciding which one to select this month! Recently, ULTA had a HUGE sale on their nail polish, $2. So I think I about 8-10 colours, some are now similar to the ones here!

  6. I asked them and they said sienna and alfre are the same. So, that helps deciding a bit... however sienna is one of my top 3 fave nailpolishes of my 200+ collection of all brands!

I decided to stay with classic with a twist, add on melanie, dakota and stefani and later purchase boho glam and bombshell..I'm a terrible glutton :(
