Yay, my June Julep Maven box finally arrived. It's not a Golden Box that I was really hoping for, but my mom gave me her polishes so I'm a happy girl. I went with the Boho Glam this month just because, like I said in my June Sneak Peek post, I really wanted a robin's egg blue or a color similar to a Tiffany's blue.

Daisy and Robin |
JULEP: Nail Vernis
Daisy: A bright lemon yellow creme
Robin: Robin's egg blue creme

- Yup, I'm definitely impressed by the quality of the polish. I like how the polishes are more liquid than thick just because I find that it spread better and more evenly. I also love that their not streaky and they are opaque after one coat! I'm so happy that I got Robin, just because now I can create another Tiffany's nail design with a more accurate color. - This was a nice little surprise that Julep threw in that wasn't listed in their "Sneak Peek". It's Vanilla Mint and I find that it makes my lips tingle a little bit. I don't know what's wrong with me, but some chapsticks and lipsticks just make my lips dry and swell up. I haven't experienced any significant weird reaction from this product.
Julep's Replacement Brushes |
JULEP: Replacement Brushes
Hey Girlfriend, we got word that some of the polish brushes in our May box were having a bad hair day. So sorry for the hassle...here's a better coiffed replacement. Shine On. P.S. If you need additional replacements, please contact us at maven@julep.com.
Value: n/a
- Last month, Julep sent out polishes with a bunch of wonky brushes. When you emailed them, they quickly sent out a replacement. But just in case you didn't contact them, they sent out two replacement brushes to everyone! That's really great customer service on their part to recognize their error and find a solution for it.
Pixy Stix |
Whoa, blast from the past!! I haven't had Pixy Stix since I was a little kid. I had the blue pixy stick just before I went to meet some family friends and I totally forgot that it would turn my tongue blue, so it was a little embarassing! I remember mixing the powder with water to create a drink out of it and obviously, as a kid, I thought it tasted amazing. Sugary goodness. Oh nostalgia, thanks for that Julep!
Total Value of this month's box: $62+
Courteney and Lily |
JULEP: Nail Vernis
Courteney: Key-lime green creme
Lily: A sizzling fuchsia creme
- Here are the polishes my mom gave me from her American Beauty box. I really like the key lime green and I definitely don't have this color in my collection. However, I found Courteney a little streaky. Lily on the other hand applied flawlessly with one coat! I'm so excited to play around with these colors!
OMG those are all such gorgeous colours! Makes me wish I didn't skip the month :)
ReplyDeleteYou finally got them :) The colours are so nice! I like Daisy & Robin!
ReplyDeleteI may be crazy, but my favorite thing about this month's box was the chapstick. Though I did create a lovely water marble with courteney and lily.
ReplyDeleteLily looks like such a nice summer colour! Julep just isn't in my budget, but I did enjoy the penny box I received!
ReplyDeletehaha right? damn pixi sticks it was cool when we were little.. lol great box doll
ReplyDeleteOkay Sam, you've convinced me... I'm finally signing up. I used your Mom's referral link. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think we have this box in the UK, it looks so good. I love how you get to chose the type of box you want too :) xx
