Titanic Inspired Nails

Since a lot of people took such a huge liking to my Avengers inspired nail art, I decided to do another movie costume inspired nail art. To commemorate the re-release of Titanic 3D and it's 15th anniversary, I decided to do a nail art inspired by the iconic fashion adorned by Rose DeWitt Bukater. I still can't believe this movie came out 15 years ago!

Boarding Suit, "Sinking" Coat, "Flying" Gown, "Swim" Gown, "Jump" Gown

POLISH USED:
For all the shading, outlining, black and white parts I used:
  • Black Polish: OPI "Black Onyx"
  • White Polish: American Apparel Nail Lacquer "T-Shirt"
Boarding Suite (Thumb)
(I did not have a dark navy so I mixed my darkest blue polish with black)
  • Blue Polish: Nicole by OPI "It's Up to You"
  • Gold Polish: Ianti (Korean Brand)
Sinking Coat (Index)
  • Light Pink Polish: OPI "Isn't that Precious"
  • Light Pink Polish: Julep "Penelope"
  • Pink Polish: American Apparel Nail Lacquer "Coney Island"
  • Silver Polish: OPI "It's Totally Fort Worth it"
Flying Gown (Middle)
(I used various shades of blue for this nail)
  • Blue Polish: Orly "Sweet Peacock"
  • Blue Polish: Nicole by OPI "It's Up to You"
  • Blue Polish: Sally Girl "Epic"(flowers)
  • Aqua Polish: China Glaze "Aqua Baby"
  • Silver Polish: OPI "It's Totally Fort Worth it"
Swim Gown (Ring)
  • Baby Blue Polish: Julep "Jessica"
  • Silver Polish: OPI "It's Totally Fort Worth it"
  • Light Pink Polish: OPI "Isn't that Precious"
  • Light Pink Polish: Julep "Penelope"
  • Pink Polish: American Apparel Nail Lacquer "Coney Island"
Jump Gown (Pinky)
(I used a tooth pick to take out the larger glitter specks and placed it as "buttons" of the dress)
  • Red Polish: Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Honeymoon Red"
  • Glitter Polish: BC Lovely Art Nail "Silver Crystal"

  5. This is so awesome! I love how you drew inspiration from the costumes and your interpretation on the nail. Wow, so creative and well done :) And it's hard to believe Titanic was so long ago, I still remember nervously waiting to watch it when I was a kid hehe
