Reader's Request: The Avengers Nail Art

The other day, I wrote a message on my HelloCotton page asking my followers to give me some suggestions on my next nail art project. One follower, SouthEastStyle, said "I'd love to see something a little geek-chic like inspired by the upcoming avengers movie, maybe a nail for each character or something :D". Great suggestion! Now here you have my The Avenger inspired nails!

Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow

So there's no instruction for this nail art because all I really did was google the image and tried to replicate the costume design onto my nails as best I could. Everything was done by free hand! I think it turned out pretty well.


Do you like how the size of my nails corresponds to the size of the characters. Since Hulk is the biggest guy, he goes on my thumb! Black Widow is the only girl on The Avengers team, so clearly she's the smallest so she belongs on my pinky! 

POLISH USED: 
For all the shading, outlining, black and white parts I used:  
  • Black Polish: OPI "Black Onyx"
  • White Polish: Amercan Apparel Nail Lacquer "T-Shirt" 
Hulk
  • Green Polish: Revlon Top Speed "Emerald"
  • Yellow Polish: Sally Hansen Insta-Dri "Lightening" 
Captain America
  • Dark Blue Polish: OPI "Blue My Mind"
  • Red Polish: Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Honeymoon Red"
Iron Man
  • Red Polish: Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Honeymoon Red"
  • Gold Polish: Ianti (Korean Polish) 
Thor
  • Grey Polish: Julep "Meryl"
  • Silver Polish: OPI "It's Totally Fort Worth it" 
  • Red Polish: Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Honeymoon Red" 
Black Widow
  • Grey Polish: Julep "Meryl"
  • Silver Polish: OPI "It's Totally Fort Worth it" 
  • Red Polish: Sally Hansen Diamond Strength "Honeymoon Red" 

Anyways, I'm going to make a new segment on my blog called "Reader's Request". So basically if you want to see one of your suggestions come to life, be one of my followers and simply comment on this post with a suggestion. If it's not too complex, I will definitely take it into consideration! Anyways, I can't wait to hear them.

  8. Oh man, this is some beautifully done nail art. It's looks like an oil painting!! The detail and shading is stunning. I also love it when geekery meets beauty (i use the work geekery as a positive. I, like many bloggers, am incredibly nerdy)
