Tiffany's Inspired Nail Art

If google brought you here, I just want you to know that I revamped the design. Check out my newest Tiffany and co. Inspired nail art: CLICK HERE!

My best friend Alex came over yesterday with the expectation that by the end of the night our finger nails will be covered with immaculate designs. With the combination of catching up since we haven't seen in each other in a couple of weeks and just being extremely picky, we weren't able to accomplish anything! The entire night we were putting on different color nail polishes and taking it off, I think we did that at least 20 times. So tonight was our second attempt at having another nail art night and after an hour or two of just trying out colors and designs, we finally settled! Alex decided on a purple, pink and black leopard print and I gained inspiration from Tiffany's color combination. Three hours of nail art experimentation finally paid off! I know I don't have the exact "Tiffany's Blue", but I think it's close enough!

Tiffany & co. Inspired Nail art

Materials:
  • Tiffany's Blue Nail Polish
    • Recommendations: Essie "Turquoise and Caicos" or China Glaze "For Audrey"
  • Silver Nail Polish
  • White Nail Polish
  • Konad Special Nail Polish in White
  • Konad Stamping Kit
  • Dotter
  • Toothpick
  • Konad Image Plates - M44, M59, M60, M65,  M71

The design is rather easy to do. I did the french tip, the ribbon strand, and dot swirl on the pinky by free hand. But if you want it to be absolutely perfect use the Konad French tip image plate if you have it. I used the shimmery silver nail polish to create little accents in the design to make it look more luxurious or jewelry-like. I would have used the M77 plate, which has imprints of jewels, but I'm still waiting for it to be shipped from EXI International also known as www.mycoolgadgets.com. If you ever been to the Konad kiosk at the Canadian National Exhibit (CNE), they are the company responsible for that stand. Want to hear a fun fact? I made the purchase for the M77 plate in August of 2009! Anyways if you want to hear another brand blunder story, please stay tuned to a future post.  In the mean time, I hope you enjoyed this week's nail art!
